Dr Amber Garrett
Osteopath
Amber is a friendly, empathetic person who believes osteopathy should look at every aspect of a patient to better understand them and their condition. This helps her to develop the best treatment plan for her patients and will work with them to help achieve their goals.
Amber graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) and Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) after making a career change from medical engineering and Pilates instructing. She began studying Osteopathy after many of her Pilates clients were asking why they had pain and how they could fix it. Her desire to know more and continue learning led her down this path after having treatment herself.
She enjoys working with all patients, treating both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Amber’s patient management consists of manual therapy as well as exercise prescription and patient education. After having suffered pregnancy-related pain herself, Amber wishes to continue her learning in this area.
Amber is a mum to two kids who keep her busy when she’s not at work. She is an avid sports lover, and often doesn’t know what to do with herself in-between footy and cricket seasons.
